College Credit and Occupational Certificate Programs
Many entry-level jobs require a training program of one year or less. SFCC offers numerous certificate programs to provide this type of entry-level training. A student receives a certificate for completing one of these programs. Certificate programs are for students who can spend three to six hours a day, five days a week, learning a skill. These programs usually are longer than one semester / term, but less than two years. Details of each program are listed in the section describing programs. Part-time attendance is possible in certain programs. Students should remember that they might have to spend additional time at SFCC if they do not meet all the requirements of a program. SFCC provides special assistance to students toward completing a program in the event that academic enhancement is needed.
