Description of Program:

This program is designed to prepare students for employment as Network Support Help Desk, Network Support Specialist, Network Administrator, and to provide continuing workforce development for persons previously or currently employed in any of these occupations.

As a CISCO Networking Academy, South Florida Community College is partnering with CISCO Systems, Incorporated to provide a broad foundation of knowledge and skills to prepare students for employment in network support services positions. The course content is designed to train students to design, build, and maintain sophisticated computer networks. They will study and learn to build networks from the ground up, beginning with network design, proper cable installation techniques, connecting and configuring Internet hardware like switches and routers, and troubleshooting networks when problems occur. Students taking these courses will be prepared to work as help desk support technicians, installation experts, network technicians, network support specialists, network designers, network installers, and network administrators.
