What is the Career Academy at SFCC?

The Career Academy at SFCC is an entire learning experience on the SFCC Highlands Campus. You’ll attend high school classes, taught by high school instructors, during one half of the day. During the other half of the day, you’ll attend college-level classes alongside other college students.

Through the Career Academy at SFCC, you can earn your high school diploma and college credits at the same time, thereby saving you valuable time in accomplishing your professional goals. In other words, you’ll be ready to enter the workforce immediately upon high school graduation. 

Eligibility

To be eligible for the Career Academy at SFCC, you must be in the 10th, 11th, or 12th grade. Depending upon the program you choose, you may be able to complete all or most of the requirements leading to a certificate or associate’s degree while you’re in high school.

Benefits

The hands-on learning experiences available through any of the SFCC technical programs will focus on reallife application of learning and motivate you to continue your high school career. At the same time, you will gain valuable work skills that will open the doors to advanced employment in the career field of your choice immediately upon graduation from high school.
