Nia Technique “Love Your Body Workout”

Nia Technique “Love Your Body Workout” (CRN 21304): $30. Meets Thursdays, Jan. 26 – Feb. 16, HSC Building, Room 110. Nia Technique “Love Your Body Workout” is a fusion fitness technique of dance, Duncan, Jazz, and Modern. The power and precision of martial arts Tai Chi, Tae Kwon Do, Aikido, and the wisdom of the healing arts. Nia cardio-dance workouts are non-impact and combine 52 simple moves with self-expressive free dance to et you fit in 60 minutes. Benefits include strength with flexibility, improved coordination, tension release, supports weight loss and metabolism, and improves circulation.

Basic Home Computer I

Basic Home Computer I (CRN 20294): $80. Meets Mondays, Jan. 23 – March 20, 5:30 – 7:30 p.m., Building I, Room 218. This introductory class is designed specifically for beginners who have little or no computer experience.  Participants will have hands-on training in a computer lab, and by the end of the eight week class be able to navigate the internet and other important programs on an intermediate level. 

Basic Home Computer II

Basic Home Computer II (CRN 11546): 80. Meets Mondays, Oct. 10 through Nov. 28, 5:30 – 7:30 p.m., Building I, Room 218, learn how to perform routing maintenance, delete unnecessary files, temp files, and cookies, block pop-up ads, search using hyperlinks, use bookmarks and  favorites list, and surfing the internet safely. Learn about browsers, sending and receiving email, how to protect your self from email viruses, and practice safe computing.

Beginning Spanish

Intermediate Spanish

Intermediate Spanish (CRN 21301): $81. Meets Thursdays, Jan. 24 – March 23, 5:30 – 6:45 .m., Building T, Room 24. This fast-paced class will complete the presentation of verbs in the present tense. In addition, it will introduce the use of pronouns and offer a more thorough study of the two verbs for “to be”.  The introduction of the past tense will round out the grammatical portion of the class.  Thematically, the class will present vocabulary that will enable students to speak about pastimes, travel, clothing, and shopping.  Class Prerequisite:  Beginning Spanish, Level 1. Pine Cone Quilting

Pine Cone Quilting (CRN 21299): $40. Meets Tuesdays, 10:30 a.m. – noon, Building T, Room 05. Pine Cone Quilting is rich in history and makes a beautiful quilt. The six week class will strive to teach you hand sewing techniques, color selection, scissor skills, relaxation and increased patience. No sewing machine is needed, just your needle, thread, scissors and fabric.
