Basic Home Computer

Basic Home Computer I (CRN 21550): $80, Meets Fridays, March 25 through May 13, 9-11 a.m., Building I, Room 208. This introductory class is designed specifically for beginners who have little or no computer experience.  Participants will have hands-on training in a computer lab, and by the end of the eight week class be able to navigate the internet and other important programs on an intermediate level.  

Basic Home Computer I (CRN 20325): $80, Meets Mondays, March 28 through May 16, 5:30-7:30 p.m., Building I, Room 208. This introductory class is designed specifically for beginners who have little or no computer experience.  Participants will have hands-on training in a computer lab, and by the end of the eight week class be able to navigate the internet and other important programs on an intermediate level.  

Basic Home Computer I (CRN 30555): $80, Meets Mondays, June 6 through Aug. 1,  5:30-7:30 p.m., Building I, Room 208. This introductory class is designed specifically for beginners who have little or no computer experience.  Participants will have hands-on training in a computer lab, and by the end of the eight week class be able to navigate the internet and other important programs on an intermediate level.  

 


Photography

Digital Photography (CRN 21514): $67, Meets Thursdays, March 3 through April 21, 530-7:30 p.m., Building H, Room 112. Class covers the elements of light, history of the camera, and patterns and shapes. Bring your digital cameras and enjoy the beauty of photography.

Italian For Travelers (CRN  30784): $93, Meets Monday and Wednesdays, May 2 through June 22, 5:30 – 6:30 p.m., learn the alphabet, numbers and basic conversation related to eating, shopping, hotel registration, and public transportation.  The course requires the purchase of the course book, Rick Steves’ Italian Phrase Book and Dictionary, ISBN-13: 978-1612382012.

Aquabics

Aquabics (CRN): $50. Water exercise is a great way to stay cool in the summer, get in shape or cross train. This class includes a warm-up, cardio, strength training, flexibility and a cool down. Different equipment will also be used for conditioning. This class is not all work with no play, as water play is also a fun way to get into shape.  Any fitness level student is welcome in this class.   


Tennis

Ceramics

Clay Works (CRN 30347): $135, Meets Wednesdays, May 18 through June 16, 9 a.m. – noon, A-10. Learn the techniques of coil and slab construction to create various shapes as well as glazing ceramics.

Lake Placid Center

Fitness

All fitness classes meet in Room 400, Lake Placid Center, with instructor Kathy Rouse. Guests can pay for the monthly series of classes or $5 to attend an individual exercise class.

 

Low Impact Aerobics:

  • CRN 30242: Cost is 17, classes are held on Thursdays, June 2 through 30, 9-10 a.m.
  • CRN 30245: Cost is 13, classes are held on Thursdays, July 7 through 21, 9-10 a.m.

Aerobics/Zumba: cost is $35 for month of April.
