Apprenticeship Programs

The Program Offers:

Ş Four-Year Apprenticeship

Ş 156 hours of classroom instruction each year

Ş 2000 hours of on-the-job training each year

Ş Qualifications for a Journeyman License

Ş Credit for prior training and/or experience

Apprentice Program Requirements

             1. Apply to the apprenticeship of your choice

             2. Must have a sponsoring employer (Program may be able to assist in                  job placement.)

             3. Must abide by the standards of the Apprenticeship Agreement

 

Journeyman Requirements

                 1. Pass The Block Exam for Journeyman in the appropriate trade

             2. Receive Certificate of Completion from The State of Florida                           Apprenticeship Section

             3. Apply to County Building Department for Journeyman

                 License in your field
Text Box: Pay Scale Minimum entry level of $6.00 per hour Average journeyman rate of $12.00 per hour 10% wage increase with each 1000 hours of successful apprenticeship Employer may pay higher wages
