PHI     2010      INTRODUCTION TO PHILOSOPHY

3 cr. hrs.

When people think hard about themselves, their values, their knowledge and belief systems, their lives, and their place in the world, they are doing philosophy.  The course surveys the history of philosophy and introduces students to important contemporary issues and positions.  Students become able to ground their personal philosophies in traditions of philosophical reasoning. Prerequisite: ENC 1101.  Gordon Rule (3,000).  (TR) (DV)
