Subject:             12-Day Extended Educational Tour to London, Paris, and Rome—Approximately May 29

There is a possibility that our itinerary will change, by a few days either way, depending on what trips get enough enrollment during May/June.

We will have the services of a full-time multi-lingual tour director.

Program fee includes round-trip air fare, nine hotel nights in hotels with private bathrooms; one couchette night on the train; breakfast and dinner every day; seven sightseeing tours; headset tours for Florence, Vatican; and Rome; 11 visits to special attractions; three EF walking tours.

Highlights: Big Ben, Buckingham Palace, Eurostar Train, Eiffel Tower, Notre Dame Cathedral, Louvre, Duomo (Florence), Leather workshop, Assisi Basilica, Colosseum, Sistine Chapel, St. Peter’s Basilica, Forum Romanum, Pompeii Roman Ruins, and Isle of Capri cruise.

Optional Excursions:  Versailles, Pisa

Please note the following points of information in reference to the trip:

We schedule class meetings during Spring 2007.

Every individual traveling must have or secure a valid U.S. passport. If you have any questions on how to secure this, please give me a call.

You must read the application booklet carefully. For a detailed list of exactly what the program fee covers and what it does not, and for payment schedules, see your application booklet.

As this trip is an official class offered by SFCC, all participants must pay the SFCC course registration fee.  If no college credit is desired, you will register as an audit student for the one-credit course.  The cost is that of a one-credit course.  Students wishing to use this as a Humanities three-hour credit must see me personally.

Once we leave our home airport, all transportation will be provided.  We will work together on getting to and from the airport, keeping in mind the possibility of getting a ride in one of the SFCC vans or renting a bus.

One expense that some people forget about is a tip at the end of the trip for the bus driver and the tour guide.  I'll let you know the going rate.

PLEASE feel free to call me if, at any time, you have questions.  If I do not know the answer, I can check with the tour coordinator quickly.  My phone number at the college is 784-7185, and my home phone is 453-2502.

If you want to sign up for the tour, call me first and then you can call the customer service number for EF Tours.  That’s the easiest way to sign up, in my opinion. (800) 665-5364. Tell them your tour number 863400 and my name Theresa James.  Sign up!  Go ahead!
