OPENING CEREMONY SFCC DeSoto Campus, located in Arcadia, Florida opened its doors to students in August, 2003. The opening ceremony was held on September 30, 2003. Approximately 500 people attended this monumental event as the community celebrated in this historical occasion. The land for the campus was donated by the Stevenson Family, Chris Stevenson, sons Chris and Cody, brother-in-law David Stevenson, and sons Sam and Tucker. The official opening began when Mrs. Chris Stevenson, along with Dr. Norman Stephens, President, Effie Keen, DeSoto Campus Director, Dr. Catherine P. Cornelius, and members of the Board of Trustees cut the ribbon. |
