ACT, SAT1, & Florida College Entry-Level Placement Tests: As a part of the admissions process, students must provide placement scores that are less than two years old. The placement tests accepted by the College are those designated by the Florida State Board of Education. These are the ACT, SAT1, and the Florida College Entry-Level Placement Test, which are described below. Placement scores will be used to help advise students on proper course placement. Placement test scores are not used to indicate pass/fail for admissions to the College. Scores that are at or above the College cut-scores will allow students to take college-level courses and scores below the College cut-scores will require college preparatory courses. This advising process helps students begin their college experience at the appropriate level of instruction to insure their success in reading, writing, and mathematics. · The American College Testing (ACT) program provides an entrance examination on a national test schedule.
