2014 SFSC Panther 5K Run/Walk

Time: 7 - 7:45 a.m. registration; 8 a.m. 5K run/walk begins
For the fifth year in a row, the SFSC Foundation, Inc. and the Jarrett Family Foundation are sponsoring the SFSC Panther 5K Run/Walk to raise money for SFSC’s Athletic programs. Thanks to community participation and generous sponsorships, the 2013 Panther 5K Run/Walk raised a total of $4,797 for SFSC’s Panther Baseball, Lady Panther Softball, and Lady Panther Volleyball teams.
The 2014 SFSC Panther 5K Run/Walk is Saturday, March 1, at the SFSC Highlands Campus. The sign-in time is 7-7:45 a.m. in the Panther Gymnasium. The 5K run/walk begins at 8 a.m. in front of the SFSC University Center.
Scrambled eggs and fruit will be available to participants after the race.
- $25 for adults
- $20 for students
- $15 for children ages 6-12
Official Panther 5K Run/Walk shirts are reserved for the first 200 paying participants. Complete entry form and pay entry fees online.
Entry fees remain the same through race day. However, participants who enter after Feb. 8 are not guaranteed a shirt.
Children under age 6 can run for free with a completed entry form; however, shirts will not be provided.
The SFSC Panther 5K Run/Walk takes a scenic route around the Highlands Campus, beginning in front of the SFSC University Center and progressing past the SFSC Theatre for the Performing Arts, the Tower of Enlightenment mural, and along College Drive to Memorial Boulevard. The returning course follows College Drive to the SFSC Norman L. Stephens Jr. Health and Science Education Center and back through the center of the campus, ending at the SFSC University Center.
Awards will be presented to the first male and female who finish the race; to the top three male and female participants in each age category; and to the top male and female finalists in the Masters and Grand Masters divisions.
