Job Referral and Placement

SFCC's Campus Career Center job placement services at SFCC are free and open to students, alumni, and the general public. The career center staff continuously searches for candidates to refer to local and global employers when job opportunities become available. Regularly updated lists of job openings are posted on all SFCC campuses as well as on the Career Center Web site. Federal and State job openings Are also available for review. Our job listings and internet sites can locate a number of job choices. Assistance is provided in job search techniques, resume preparation, and interview skills both individually and in seminars.

Job placement services provide the following:
 
Job Referral and Placement
  • Referrals to employers with part-time and full-time openings (locally and globally).
  • Online connection to the National Association of Colleges & Employers (NACE).
  • Resume, cover letter, and interviewing assistance with numerous handouts.
  • An annual (February) High School and College Career Exploration Fair, hosting employers and employees from a vast variety of career fields. Offered to all tri-county area high school juniors/seniors as well as to college students only.
  • Community-wide Job Fairs hosting employers with job and internship opportunities, usually Fall and Spring semesters (October and April).
  • On-site campus interviewing in Bldg. B with employers/recruiters, featuring a weekly “featured employer” segment during Fall and Spring semesters.
  • Job posting on Bulletin Boards in the SFCC Main Campus Cafeteria, Career Center, and throughout the Satellite Campuses in Arcadia, Lake Placid, Wauchula, and the Career Center Web site.
