The student assistant for Applied Sciences and Technologies performs various duties for the Office of the Dean, located in Building T. Within this office is the payroll clerk for the division, as well as the administrative assistant that works with grants and activities associated with the communities served by South Florida Community College.
Examples of work assignments are answering the telephone, typing, filing, and delivering mail, making copies, and assisting several departments with various activities. Work will be assigned by the administrative assistant. * Bridge Assistant
Educational program teaching assistants will aid faculty and administration in supervising teenaged summer participants and the coordination of the program. Assignments includes coordinating schedules, preparing classroom materials and teaching aids, escorting students to and from various activities, leading, extracurricular activities, running errands, and other duties as assigned.
* Divisional Assistant
Assist faculty and staff with a wide array of tasks including general clerical duties. Will perform routine office tasks under the supervision of the division’s administrative assistant; work with multiple faculty as needs arise. Basic computer skills and good communication essential.

Within this office are Panther Youth Partners (PYP), Out-of-School Panther Partners, Tech Prep, and Air Conditioning. The lab assistant for Electronics will perform various duties inclusive of, however not limited to the following: assist instructor with student learning activities on Lab-Volt Computer-based Training workstations; assist students involved with hands-on bread board projects; assist students with proper use of electronic test equipment; encourage students to develop proper soldering techniques; help instructor monitor lab activities for proper safety procedures and potential hazards; insure students maintain a clean work/study environment; distribute and restock electronic components; distribute soldering and PCB repair consumables; distribute MSDNAA lab software and keys; support Lab-Volt LAN; support computer/networking lab PCs, LAN and wireless networks. Work will be assigned by the Electronics Instructor.
