Other Tests Offered

Ability to Benefit Test (ATB). Some students are required to pass the ATB in order to receive financial aid. This is a computerized test provided at the Testing Center through Accuplacer/College Board. Students are required to have a referral from their advisor prior to scheduling the test. There is no charge to SFSC students, and a $25 fee for non-SFSC students.

College Placement Test (CPT). Although Florida requires use of the PERT for placement tests, some colleges still use the CPT for entry into some programs. The Testing Center offers the exam by appointment. There is a $25 fee for non-SFSC students.

MBTI – the Myers Briggs Type Indicator is a test that will show how you like to look at things and how you like to go about deciding things. Besides assisting in knowing your own preferences and learning about other people’s, this can help you understand where your special strengths are, what work you might enjoy and be successful at, and how people with different preferences can relate to each other and be valuable to society.

Perdue Pegboard is a dexterity test used by the Cosmetology department.

Strong Interest Inventory is an assessment designed to take an inventory of your interests. This will be used to help you understand your work-related interests.

Work Keys-Florida’s Ready to Work Credential is an assessment through which you can prove that you possess the working skills employers demand. By completing three online WIN/ACT WorkKeys assessments, you will demonstrate your proficiency in three categories of job performance: Reading Information, Applied Mathematics, and Locating Information. In return, you will receive a Florida Ready to Work Certificate signed by Gov. Charlie Crist that certifies your ability to perform reliably and with success.
