Postsecondary Education Readiness Test (PERT)
The PERT has been adopted as the college placement test for the state of Florida.
The PERT consists of three sub-tests (reading, writing, and math). The Division of Florida Colleges recommends that students who need to retake the test wait at least 30 days between administrations, and this is the rule SFSC follows.
You will find an extensive study guide and practice tests in the helpful links below.
To take the PERT:
- Pre-scheduling of any testing is required. Call 863-784-7214 for an appointment.
- You MUST present an appropriate photo ID at time of testing which has your name and signature and a recognizable photograph. The following are acceptable:
- A current driver’s license
- A current passport
- A current SFSC ID
If you are not an SFSC student, there is a fee of $25. An appointment and proper identification still applies.
There is a $5 retake fee for the PERT.
