Your Pathway to Become a Historian
A Historian studies and writes about the past and can be employed as a professor, a museum or historical society professional, an archivist, or a researcher for an organization or institution.
Historians are essential in understanding cultures, societies, and artifacts of the past, and:
- can present lectures
- can write articles and books
- can become the authority on subject matter
- can travel to conduct research
SFSC’s Associate in Arts in History
- is 60 credit hours
- takes approximately two years to complete
- can be started in high school through dual enrollment
- can transfer to the University of South Florida’s Fuse program upon completion
