Coach Krista Schult
Krista Schult is in her fourth year coaching at South Florida State College. During her first three seasons, Schult led the Lady Panthers to the national cross country meet each year.
Schult graduated from Washington High School in Two Rivers, Wisc., in 2001, where she became state champion in the 4x400m relay. She continued her running career at University of Wisconsin – Eau Claire, where she competed in cross country, indoor and outdoor track and field. Schult earned her Bachelor of Science degree in elementary education. In 2007, she relocated to Sebring after being hired as a teacher.
She coached the Sebring High School girls cross country team for five years. During her time coaching there, Schult not only got her team to qualify for the regional meet four times, she earned Highlands County girls cross country coach of the year for each season she coached.
While not coaching, Schult is a teacher at Cracker Trail Elementary School. She enjoys spending time with her husband Matthew and sons, Myles, 5, and Ryder,3. Schult has continued with her running since college and has since completed two full marathons, eight half marathons, and countless 5Ks.
Assistant Coach Hanna Schroeder
Hannah Schroeder begins her first year with the Panthers as the assistant Cross County coach. She is a third generation Sebring native and graduated from high school in 2013 after being homeschooled from K-12. She ran cross country and outdoor track for Sebring High School and continued her running career as a scholarship athlete at Bryan College in Dayton, Tenn. While at Bryan, Schroeder participated in cross country and indoor and outdoor track and field. She earned various academic and athletic honors and was a student assistant to the cross country coach her last three years. Schroeder earned her bachelor of science in elementary education and took courses toward a minor in Exercise and Health Science. She went on to earn her master’s degree in education from Bryan College.
Away from the cross county course, Schroeder is a first-year teacher at Cracker Trail Elementary School. She spends her free time with her family and friends and enjoys being active, experimenting in the kitchen, and researching health and wellness.
