Insurance paid by the College:

Health – Florida Blue (Blue Cross and Blue Shield of Florida)

  • Effective first day of month after date of hire

  • Dependent/family coverage payable through payroll deduction on a pre-tax basis

If an employee declines the college provided health insurance plan, and has other primary health insurance coverage. Dental and vision plans are provided at no cost to the employee

Life – UNUM

  • Effective first day of month after date of hire
  • Term life equal to one year salary
  • Paid by employee through payroll deduction:

Dental – Delta Dental: Payable on a pre-tax basis

Life, UNUM (Supplemental Term Insurance)

  • Within 30 days of hire date, eligible for a guaranteed issue of an amount equal to annual salary
  • Increased coverage available up to three times annual salary
  • Dependent insurance
  • Other life insurance programs available through approved vendors

Vision – VSP

  • Payable on a pre-tax basis

Leave Accruals

  • Sick Leave – eligible for full-time employees
  • Vacation Leave – eligible for full-time, 12-month employees
