Your Pathway to Become a Political Scientist

A Political Scientist opens a gateway to many different fields such as teaching, paralegal, health services and administration, research or marketing consultant, data analysis, or pre-law.  

As a Political Scientist, you will gain a varied skillset and gain access to:

  • knowledge of problem-solving, critical thinking, and in-depth analysis
  • understanding of intellectual, political, and social theories about human existence
  • the ultimate “transferable degree” with experience in argumentation and reason
  • the possibility of further education through a B.A. degree

SFSC’s Associate in Arts Degree in Philosophy:

  • is 60 credit hours
  • takes approximately two years to complete
  • can be started in high school through dual enrollment
