Your Pathway to Become an Surgical Technologist
A Surgical Technologist cares for patients by providing vital support before, during, and after surgery.
Surgical Technologist duties include:
- preparing the operating room
- passing sterile instruments to surgeons and first assistants
- maintaining a sterile environment
- preparing patients for surgery
SFSC’s Associate in Science in Surgical Services:
- is 64 credit hours
- takes approximately 16 months to complete
- prepares students to take the National Board of Surgical Technology and Surgical Assisting Examination
