Ninth Annual Million Dollar Hole-in-One Golf Shootout

The South Florida State College (SFSC) Foundation will host its ninth annual Million Dollar Hole-in-One Golf Shootout and $10K Putt Challenge event at Sun ‘N Lake Golf Club in Sebring, Fla. Shootout participants will be battling it out at the driving range Thursday through Saturday for the top 12 closest to pin—our leaderboard—and will be asked to come back and try their best to swing for a hole-in-one on Saturday evening on the 18th hole of Deer Run. Putt Challenge participants will advanec through qualifications resulting with one finalist given the opportunity to putt for $10,000 on Saturday evening at the 18th hole of Deer Run. Event prizes on Saturday for closest-to-pin include awards of $750, $500, $250, and a Pro Shop gift card for the top four golfers closest to the hole who don’t make a hole-in-one.

All golfers are welcome. The cost is $10 for a bag and you can purchase an unlimited number of bags. As a shootout contestant, if you qualify on the leaderboard, and are bumped off or you want a better spot on the leaderboard, you can come back and battle your way up until the close of the qualifying rounds on Saturday, Jan. 17 at 4 p.m.

Jan. 17, 2025, 7:30-9:30 a.m.
 
This new contest allows you to sink the putt on the qualifying days to advance to the final qualifier.
 
$10K Putt Challenge Final Qualifier
Saturday, Jan. 17, 10 a.m.
 
Land the designated putts at the final qualifier and advance to the Putt Challenge at 4:45 p.m.
 
$10K Putt Challenge
Saturday, Jan. 17, 4:45 p.m.
 
One finalist will have an opportunity to win $10,000 by landing the 50-foot shot on the 18th hole on Deer Run.

Million Dollar Hole-in-One Golf Shootout

Qualifying Days

Jan. 15-16, 2025, 11:30 a.m.-5:30 p.m.
Jan. 17, 2025, 7:30 a.m.-4 p.m.
 

Battle it out at the driving range on qualifying days to land your shot closest to the pin and qualify on the leaderboard to advance to the shootout. If you get bumped off the leaderboard, you can come back and battle your way back until the close of the qualifying rounds on Saturday, Jan. 17 at 4 p.m. 

Million Dollar Hole-in-One Golf Shootout

Saturday, Jan. 17, 5 p.m.

The 12 finalists will have an opportunity to win the $1 million prize by making a hole-in-one at the 18th hole of Deer Run. 

 

Qualifying Days

  • Thursday, Jan. 15 and Friday, Jan. 16 from 11:30 a.m.-5:30 p.m.
  • Saturday, Jan. 17 from 7:30 a.m.-9:30 a.m.
  • Putting Green at the Driving Range
  • Putt distance is 30 ft.; same location all three days
  • All participants who sink the 30-foot putt advance to the final qualifier on Jan. 17 at 10 a.m.

Final Qualifier

  • Sat., Jan. 17 from 10 a.m.
  • Various putts ranging from 20-45 feet
  • Narrow down to one finalist

Putt Challenge

  • Sat., Jan. 17 at 4:45 p.m.
  • 18th Hole – 50-foot putt for $10K

Proceeds from the Golf Shootout benefit SFSC Panther athletic teams in women’s volleyball, women’s cross country, men’s baseball, and women’s softball.
