Associate in Applied Science (A.A.S.)

Description of Program:

The A.A.S. degree in Drafting and Design Technology prepares you for a career as an assistant to architects, engineers, manufacturers, or building contractors. The drafting and design technician translates ideas, sketches, or written specifications into working drawings. Course content includes, but is not limited to, communication skills; leadership skills; human relations and employability skills; safe and efficient work practices; drafting standards; math skills and drafting office practices to assist mechanical, electrical, and electronic, architectural, chemical, civil, or other engineers in the design and drafting of electrical circuits, machines, structures, and architectural plans.
