Insurances
Insurance paid by the College:
Health – Florida Blue (Blue Cross and Blue Shield of Florida)
- Effective the first of the month following the first full month worked
- Choice of PPO or HSA plans
- Dependent/family coverage payable through payroll deduction on a pre-tax basis
If an employee declines the college provided health insurance plan, and has other primary health insurance coverage, dental and vision plans are provided at no cost to the employee.
Life Insurance – The Standard
- Effective the first of the month following the first full month worked
- Term life equal to one year salary
Insurance paid by employee through payroll deduction:
- Dental – Delta Dental: payable on a pre-tax basis
- Vision – VSP: payable on a pre-tax basis
- Supplemental and Dependent Life Insurance – The Standard
- Increased coverage available up to three times annual salary
- Coverage for eligible dependents
Other life insurance programs are available through approved vendors.
Leave Accruals
- Sick Leave – eligible for full-time employees
- Annual Leave – eligible for full-time, 12-month employees
Retirement
- Florida Retirement System (FRS)
- Eligible for full-time and part-time, long-term employees
- 3% employee contribution required
- State College Optional Retirement Plan (SCORP) – available to faculty, administrators and instructional supervisors
- 403(b)/457 Tax Deferred Plans available through approved providers
Tuition Waivers and Tuition Assistance
- Dependent Fee Waivers
- Staff and Professional Development (SPD) funding
Miscellaneous
- 50% discount on up to two tickets to Artist and Matinee series, as available, for full-time employees
- Employee Assistance Program (EAP) administered through Lifeworks
- Family Medical Leave (FMLA)
- Prepaid Legal Plan and Identify Theft Plan administered through LegalShield
- Sick Leave Pool – eligible for full-time employees, after one year of full-time employment and with a minimum of 96 unused sick leave hours
