Krista Schult is in her third year coaching at South Florida State College. During her first two seasons, Schult led the Lady Panthers to the national cross country meet each year.

Schult graduated from Washington High School in Two Rivers, Wisc., in 2001, where she became state champion in the 4x400m relay. She continued her running career at University of Wisconsin – Eau Claire, where she competed in cross country, indoor and outdoor track and field. Schult earned her Bachelor of Science degree in elementary education. In 2007, she relocated to Sebring after being hired as a teacher.

She coached the Sebring High School girls cross country team for five years. During her time coaching there, Schult not only got her team to qualify for the regional meet four times, she earned Highlands County girls cross country coach of the year for each season she coached.

While not coaching, Schult is a teacher at Cracker Trail Elementary School. She enjoys spending time with her husband Matthew and sons, Myles, 4, and Ryder, 2. Schult has continued with her running since college and has since completed two full marathons, eight half marathons, and countless 5Ks.
