SFSC’s 2018 Camp Adventure is taking off mid June with week-long programs that keep kids engaged and learning. Kids can attend all six weeks or any week of their choice. There is no camp the week of July 4.

Camp Adventure  introduces young people to career opportunities through:
  • Fun and interactive sessions
  • Games, sports, and swimming
  • Technology and art
  • Academic enrichment
  • Structured, supervised recreation
  • Program-related field trips to locations around Highlands County

Who Can Attend?

  • Children who have completed kindergarten through grade five

Price

$157 per week includes:

  • Early drop-off and late pick-up: 7:30 a.m.-5:30 p.m. All campers should arrive by 8:15 a.m.
  • Camper meals made daily at the SFSC Cafeteria (breakfast and lunch)
  • Some field trips may have an additional charge

Staff

  • All staff are certified in CPR and first aid.
  • Lead counselors have educational degrees.

Camp Adventure Too

SFSC’s 2018 Camp Adventure Too will take place during the month of June for campers who want to learn about STEM programs. There will be two sessions:

Session 1, June 11-15: Summer Cyber Camp

The SFSC Highlands Summer Cyber Camp is a five-day technical camp designed to
excite middle school students about cybersecurity and STEM career opportunities.
Students will learn important cyber defense skills to protect their personal devices and
information from outside threats through hands-on instruction and fun activities in a
well-equipped computer training classroom. We will use curriculum developed by the
U.S. Government and Prominent Industry Leaders.

Session 2, June 18-22: Mr. Roboto

This course introduces the basic principles of robots and applications in the robotics
industry. Through extensive hands-on practice, students will become familiar with the
sections of a robotic system, learn how to manipulate robotics movements, and simulate
industrial processes.

  • Children who have completed grade 6-8

Price

$157 per week includes:
