English for Speakers of Other Languages (ESOL)

The ESOL program provides American English language instruction to foreign-born US citizens and resident aliens who wish to communicate more effectively in English. Classes emphasize the fundamentals of grammar, conversational skills, listening comprehension, vocabulary, writing ability and accent reduction. The ESOL program also exposes students to a variety of American customs and cultural traditions. Classes are offered for students at all levels.

SFSC serves students from various countries who collectively speak many different languages. Classes are offered during the morning, afternoon, and evening. Currently, ESOL classes are provided at all SFSC locations and at several off-campus sites.

This site explains what the ESOL program at SFSC has to offer, how you can enroll, when classes are offered, and the requirements for admission (English and Spanish).
