Residency Reclassification Appeal Process

A student who does not qualify to be classified as in-state residence under the guidelines posted in the College Catalog may submit a petition to the Residency Appeals Committee through the Office of the Registrar. The student must provide documentation that supports their appeal and demonstrates why they believe they should be classified as an in-state residence. In addition to being available online, the Form for Reclassification of Residency is available at any SFSC campus. The Residency Appeals Committee renders a final residency determination in writing that includes the reason for its decision.
