Applications for the Phlebotomy program are open year-round. This program begins multiple times a year at the Avon Park and DeSoto campus with varying schedules. Please contact healthsciences@southflorida.edu once you have submitted your admissions application.
South Florida State College’s (SFSC) Career Certificate in Phlebotomy prepares you for employment as a phlebotomist.

The Career Certificate in Phlebotomy:
- is 165 contact hours
- is a limited access program with only 12 students accepted each time the program is offered
- requires students to be at least 18 years of age
- requires applicants to complete an online SFSC application and select Phlebotomy major/program
