Orientation
All new SFCC degree and certificate students need to complete orientation prior to scheduling classes. Both face-to-face and online orientation options are available.
Face-to-Face Orientation
Eight orientation sessions have been scheduled for the summer 2011 term on the Highlands Campus, located in Avon Park, Fla. All sessions begin in the SFCC University Center Auditorium. To sign up for orientation, contact the Career Development Center at 863-784-7410. Seats are limited at each session, so reserve your space today!

- Tuesday, May 26, 6 - 8 p.m.
- Thursday, June 9, 6 - 8 p.m.
- Thursday, June 16, 2 - 4 p.m.
- Thursday, June 23, 6 - 8 p.m.
- Thursday, July 14, 2 - 4 p.m.
- Thursday, July 28, 6 - 8 p.m.
- Thursday, August 4, 2 - 4 p.m.
If you are unable to attend one of these group sessions, you may complete orientation in person in the Career Development Center or online. To schedule an appointment in the Career Development Center please call 863-784-7410.
Online Orientation
Students who have been admitted to SFCC and have received their Student Identification Number (GID - starts with an "X") may access SFCC Orientation online.
- Go to Panther Central at https://panthercentral.southflorida.edu.
- Use your SFCC ID number (starts with the "X") as the USERNAME.
- User your six digit date of birth for the password.
- Once the system loads, you will be launched to the "Home" tab.
- Directly in the middle of the screen under the "Group Studio Activity Channel" you will find the link for "New Student Orientation."
- Once you choose that link, you'll be loaded into the "Orientation site" in the Panther Den and directions will be on the opening screen.
